Hi 👋 we're Juan and Maria.
This project started when Maria went to book a professional color analysis and found out it cost $350 and had a two-month waitlist. We realized that color analysis shouldn't be a gatekept luxury for the elite.
As a programmer, I knew there was a better way. With the power of modern AI, we could bring that same level of expertise to everyone's smartphone.
The 'Generic AI' Problem
We first tried using standard AI tools like ChatGPT to analyze photos. The results were terrible. They were inconsistent, confused by lighting, and didn't understand the nuance of skin undertones.
Generic AI isn't a style expert. It often misses:
- Consistency: A slight change in lighting shouldn't change your entire color season.
- Depth: Most tools just look at hair color, ignoring the crucial skin-to-eye contrast.
- Practicality: Telling someone they are 'Spring' isn't helpful without a guide on how to actually wear it.
We realized we had to build something better: a specialized engine trained specifically for seasonal colorimetry.
Our Solution: The Stylist's Eye
We spent months building a custom algorithm based on three core pillars:
